History
Since 2017, Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences; Since 2021, a PhD program has been carried out within the Graduate Education Institute. To be able to examine the problems in the field of architecture from different perspectives; producing various alternative solutions to disciplinary problems related to architecture; proposing and conducting interdisciplinary research based on the intersections of humanities - social sciences - natural sciences; evaluate the interaction between theory and practice; The ability to use different research-approaches and methods on the axis of interdisciplinary relations is among the goals of the Architecture doctoral program. For those who are accepted with a master's degree with thesis, starting from the semester in which the courses related to the program they are enrolled in are given, for each semester regardless of whether they are registered or not, the maximum completion period is twelve semesters; For those admitted with a bachelor's degree, ten semesters and the maximum completion period is fourteen semesters. The doctorate program consists of a total of 7 courses, seminars, proficiency exam, thesis proposal and thesis work. The language of instruction is Turkish and full-time education is provided.

This program is a doctorate-level program. Students who successfully complete this program are awarded an Architecture (PhD) diploma.

Admission Requirements
For Turkish Citizens:
Second Cycle (Master’s) Degree diploma with thesis, a minimum score for the Examination for Academic Personnel and Graduate Studies (ALES) determined by University Senate or equivalent international examinations scores for graduate-level programmes such as GRE and GMAT recognised by YÖK, the candidates should also get the minimum score for Foreign Language Proficiency Exam (YDS) or Higher Education Institutions Foreign Language Exam (YÖKDİL) determined by University Senate or equivalent international examinations scores for graduate-level programmes that are CPE, CAE, TOEFL IBT and PTE, recognised by YÖK. For International Students:
Second Cycle Degree diploma with thesis obtained from universities recognised by YÖK. Candidates gain access to the programmes based on their second cycle degree grade point averages. The candidates should also get the minimum score for Foreign Language Proficiency Exam (YDS) or Higher Education Institutions Foreign Language Exam (YÖKDİL) determined by University Senate or equivalent international examinations scores for graduate-level programmes that are CPE, CAE, TOEFL IBT and PTE, recognised by YÖK. Graduation Requirements
1) To take a minimum of 7 courses with a minimum of 21 local credits,
2) To succeed in non-credit seminar course,
3 )To succeed in all the courses with a letter grade of at least CB/S,
4) Graduate program courses with thesis must be completed with a CGPA of at least 2.50/4.00,
5) To succeed in Ph. D Qualification exam,
6 )To prepare a thesis and be qualified as successful by the thesis jury in the defense examination of the thesis,
7) Complete minimum 240 ECTS credits in total.
