Objectives of the Course 1. To comprehend the fundamental concepts and principles of special education, as well as its historical development.
2. To understand the key legal regulations in the field of special education and their implications for educational practices.
3. To acquire foundational knowledge regarding diagnosis and assessment processes in special education, as well as the individualization of instruction.
4. To grasp the importance of inclusion/integration practices, support services in special education, and family involvement and collaboration.
5. To recognize the characteristics and educational needs of various disability and ability groups, along with the instructional approaches tailored to these groups.
6. To gain knowledge and skills concerning effective classroom management and behavioral management strategies within inclusive educational settings.
Course Content Fundamental concepts in special education; principles and historical development of special education; legal regulations concerning special education; diagnosis and assessment in special education; individualization of instruction; inclusion and support services in special education; family involvement in education and collaboration with families; characteristics of various disability and ability groups; educational approaches and instructional strategies for different groups; effective strategies for classroom management and behavior management.

4 Kaynaştırma/bütünleştirme ve destek özel eğitim hizmetlerini, aile katılımı ve aileyle işbirliği süreçleriyle ilişkilendirir.
5 Farklı yetersizlik ve yetenek gruplarının özelliklerini ve bu gruplara uygun eğitim yaklaşımları ile öğretim stratejilerini karşılaştırır.
