Course Notes
|
Dear students, this course is conducted in a drama workshop for three hours a week, with hands-on drama activities every week. The course notes consist of weekly practices on drama work focusing on group cohesion, communication, interaction and harmony, and on the basic drama techniques used in early childhood (improvisation, role-play, dramatization, pantomime, etc.). Each student records the activities carried out in class in detail in a method notebook and brings it to the following class for review. Weekly theoretical readings are based on the relevant chapters of the course book and the study questions in the syllabus: basic concepts of drama, the historical development of drama in education, the effects of drama on child development, the relationship between play and drama, the stages of drama, drama techniques, and the planning and evaluation of drama activities. The instructor’s presentations and additional readings are shared with the class through the course representatives.
