Objectives of the Course
The objective of this course is to provide students with a foundational understanding of digital logic levels and Boolean algebra, enabling them to apply this knowledge to analyze and comprehend digital electronic circuits. Furthermore, the course aims to develop students ` practical skills in implementing, designing, and testing combinational and sequential digital circuits.

Course Content
This course begins with number systems (binary, octal, hexadecimal), base conversions, data representation, Boolean algebra principles, and basic logic gates. The course examines the analysis, design, and Hardware Description Language (HDL) modeling of combinational logic circuits using minimization techniques such as Karnaugh maps. The second part covers sequential logic circuit design based on latches, flip-flops (SR, D, JK, T), clock circuits, clock generation, and timing concepts. The final section thoroughly addresses the design of registers, shift registers, synchronous/asynchronous counters, and digital arithmetic circuits.
