Objectives of the Course
The objective of this course is to provide students with practical engineering skills in designing, building, simulating, and experimentally characterizing communication systems. Reinforcing theoretical concepts through lab exercises, students gain competence in analyzing signals via spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes, testing analog and digital modulation/demodulation circuits, evaluating communication performance over noisy channels, and documenting findings through formal technical reports.

Course Content
This course is a practical laboratory experience complementing the theoretical knowledge of Communication Theory, focusing on the simulation, hardware implementation, analysis, and testing of communication systems. Experiments cover frequency-domain signal analysis using oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers, as well as amplitude modulation (AM, DSB-SC) and demodulation techniques. The curriculum further investigates the Nyquist sampling theorem, pulse code modulation (PCM), baseband transmission, and digital shift-keying techniques (ASK, FSK, PSK). The final section experimentally addresses intersymbol interference (ISI) over noisy channels and eye diagram analysis
