Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to provide students with general knowledge and awareness regarding aircraft used in the civil aviation sector by introducing them to the basic structures, systems, and flight principles of aircraft. By grasping aircraft components, fundamental systems, and operational characteristics, students develop core competencies relevant to industry practices.

Course Content
The course covers the definition, classification, and fundamental structural components of aircraft. Major structural elements such as the fuselage, wings, tail, and landing gear are examined. Flight control surfaces, aerodynamic principles, and aircraft motions are evaluated. Emphasis is placed on power systems, engine types, and fuel and oil systems. Hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and avionics systems are studied at a fundamental level. Cabin systems—including pressurization, air conditioning, and oxygen systems—are addressed. Aircraft performance concepts, weight and balance, and basic flight operations are evaluated. Additionally, different aircraft types and the characteristics of air vehicles used in civil aviation are compared.
