Objectives of the Course
The main objective of this course is to equip students with the skills to model and solve business, logistics, and real-world problems using analytical models. Students are expected to learn linear programming, a quantitative decision-making technique, and thus solve complex problems using mathematical models, numerical techniques, and methods. The course is expected to develop students ` decision-making skills from an optimization perspective.

Course Content
This course covers the fundamental concepts and techniques of operations research, which are based on the use of scientific methods in decision-making processes. Topics covered include linear programming and graphical solution methods, the Simplex algorithm, sensitivity analysis, transportation and assignment problems. Using these methods, students will gain the ability to model and analyze problems encountered in business, logistics, and international trade.
