Course Learning Outcomes: Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
NoLearning Outcomes
1 Creating a mathematical model of a random event defined in everyday language; being able to define the probability universe, events, outcomes, and probability assignment in a manner consistent with the technical meaning of these terms in probability theory
2 Applying probability rules to calculate the probabilities of various events
3 Modeling certain numerical results in random events as discrete / continuous random variables and determining probability mass / density.
4 Evaluating and interpreting analysis results
5 Creating hypotheses as possible explanations of observed phenomena; applying probability theory to select probability hypotheses; Assessing the possibility of error and risk in decision making
