Objectives of the Course The Post-Production Techniques course aims to familiarize students with the fundamental components of the post-production process in film and television productions. In this context, the course covers both theoretical and practical aspects of post-production stages such as sound design, dialogue editing, effects design, music placement, and color correction/grading. Students will gain experience with audio and video post-production software by familiarizing themselves with professional workflows; they will be able to make informed decisions regarding sound design and color aesthetics that enhance a film ` s storytelling. By integrating theoretical knowledge with practical exercises, the course aims to equip students with a strong understanding of post-production processes at an industry level.
Course Content This course addresses two fundamental axes of post-production in film and television production: sound design and color correction. Theoretical knowledge and practical application in sound design, color correction, and color grading are combined. Students gain experience in areas such as dialogue editing, ambient sound, effects design, music placement, color psychology, LUT usage, and HDR workflows, applying these techniques to a short film.
Course Methods and Techniques Anlatım, gösterip yaptırma, görsel-işitsel örnek incelemesi, bilgisayar destekli uygulama ve problem çözme.
