Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to enable students to learn the hemodynamic monitoring methods used in critical patient care, to interpret clinical applications by comprehending invasive and noninvasive monitoring techniques, and to plan appropriate interventions within the scope of patient safety.
Course Content The definition, purpose, and importance of hemodynamic monitoring; circulatory physiology and basic hemodynamic parameters; noninvasive monitoring methods (ECG, noninvasive blood pressure, pulse oximetry); invasive monitoring methods (arterial catheter, central venous pressure, pulmonary artery catheter); advanced hemodynamic monitoring techniques; hemodynamic monitoring in the perioperative period; types of shock and hemodynamic findings; fluid management and assessment of volume status; cardiac output measurement methods; the roles and responsibilities of the anesthesia technician; case-based scenarios and case discussions
Course Methods and Techniques Lecture, question-and-answer, discussion, case study analysis, demonstration, skills practice, and clinical/laboratory practice techniques are used.
