Dersin Amacı The aims of this course are to :
1. Acquaint students with the various concepts of public policy;
2. Introduce students to the theory and practices of public policy analysis;
3. Provide students with an appraisal of the content and context of these theories; and
4. Enable students to distinguish between alternative approaches of public policy processes.
Course Objectives :
The course seeks to enable students to:
1. Identify the basic concepts and theories of public policy.
2. Demonstrate competency in the basic approaches and perspectives in evaluating public policies through public policy analysis.
3. Distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate evaluation of the public policies.
Dersin İçeriği Attendance to the course is compulsory. Attendance, participation, homeworks and presentations are assessed together and transferred into grades. The course introduces students to the basic concepts, perspectives and theories of public policy. It is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the major theories relating to the public policy making and analysis.
In later chapters the course closes the learning progress by introducing students to models of analysis.

3 Distinguish between various types of public policy models. Creates public policy analysis cycle. Knows the framework of studying methods of public policy analysis in great detail. Discuss the ideas in a group/team structure by taking responsibility and with respect to other ideas and cultures
4 Identify and explore the basic annals of public policy. Policy progress and cycle.
5 : Demonstrate competency in the basic approaches and perspectives in evaluating various practices of public policy analytical frameworks. Analyze different public policies.
6 Distinguish between alternative models of analysis.
